I bought a high end ergonomic chair from Pepperfry.com last June. The price was high as compared to local market but I had heard of their quality and went for it. In less than a year, and this is in March, the back panel of the chair was found broken and bent. I have attached picture. On raising a complaint with their customer care, they sent some local carpenter who just came and clicked some pictures and said nothing. Then their call center informed me that nothing can be done. I said the product is still in warranty period and if some damage has been done then you need to fix it or replace it. I was told very rudely "we can't do anything".
Its a shame how these companies are charging premium but offering bad quality products and give horrible after sales service. The warranty period is also a sham and its of no use. These newbie online companies must be brought in line to delivery the right service to consumers.
